The following is a partial list of public performances by Kay and/or the American Recorder Society, Redding Chapter.


  January 2008

  Shasta State Historic Park (Old Shasta): "Cultural Cruise";
Kay performed solo recorder (and with background CD's) at the Courthouse Museum in Old Shasta. The performance featured Irish music, Medieval dances, and English Renaissance music from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book (transcribed for lute and recorder).

Pellegrini's Brazilian Steakhouse; 40 Hartnell Ave.; Redding

   December 2007
All Saints' Episcopal Church; Benton Drive
Kay perform on Christmas day on recorder accompanied by Joel Thompson, organ and harpsichord.

Kay will be playing music on a regular basis on Friday evenings. Great food! (Authentic Brazilian! I lived in Brazil as an exchange student.)
CA Children's Services Christmas Party
Barbara C. and Kay played solos and duets--in every combination, with CDs and with keyboard!
Cow Creek Community Church (Palo Cedro)
Shasta State Historic Park (Old Shasta)
Kay and Barbara Condon performed English and German carols, as well as Renaissance and Baroque music.

Northern CA Rehabilitation Hospital
An impromptu performance of classical music for recorder and show tunes on keyboard.

Kay entertained residents with light classical piano music, ballet repertoire, Irish songs and dances, and international folk songs.

Kay's performance on recorder was a special "thank you" to Shasta Regional.

Kay's performances were a "thank you" to Shasta Regional for excellent care during thyroid surgery in June.

 Evergreen Charter School: American Recorder Society
The Redding Chapter performed folk song repertoire, as well as Elizabethan favorites. We love the children's questions: "How did we get all those recorders?"
Hilltop Estates:  American Recorder Society
A trio from the Redding Chapter performed for appreciative residents. A stunning performance, including a few duets and solos.

Valentine's Day music on recorder and keyboard: including George Winston's arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon, Mozart's Piano Sonata in A Major, and Phantom of the Opera.

  May 2005
Shasta Highlands Renaissance and Celtic Faire: April 30-May 1, 2005; Anderson River Park (Anderson, CA).
Kay participated in the Faire for the fist time in 2005. Kay played English Renaissance music, English country dances, and Irish music.

On Sunday, Kay celebrated the sacred side of the Renaissance by playing hymns from the Anglican hymnal. Many of these tunes were written during the Renaissance.
